Donors give Fonda's Haven of Hope Farm new commercial kitchen

Haven of Hope Farm's residents have fled abusive spouses or boyfriends for safe sanctuary in the big white house in the small town of Fonda where they grow potatoes, onions, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants and peppers. They fetch eggs from chicken coops, hatch baby turkeys to sell and care for five aloof alpacas. And until recently they baked by night when the children were asleep to make their dreamy pastries to sell in a roadside shop.
