Elizabeth Ajasin is a workforce development leader with nearly a decade of experience designing and managing innovative employment, training, and economic mobility initiatives on Long Island. She specializes in building strategic partnerships among government, education, industry, and community organizations to create workforce pipelines aligned with regional labor market needs.

Prior to joining WDI, Elizabeth served as the Workforce Development Planner for the Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources (HempsteadWorks), where she oversaw a portfolio of federally and state-funded workforce programs that supported adults, youth, and communities facing barriers to employment and economic opportunity. During that time, she led the development of several high-impact initiatives in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, apprenticeship expansion, and emerging technology career pathways.

She is deeply passionate about expanding access to opportunity and helping individuals build sustainable career paths through workforce development. Her work focuses on translating workforce policy into practical, community-centered solutions that connect people to training, credentials, and quality employment in high-growth industries.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Skidmore College.
