The U.S. Offshore wind industry is starting to take shape, and training and educational institutions throughout NY are developing programs to address the industry’s needs. WDI has begun to catalog these programs (including those not explicitly for offshore wind, but that could still serve as resources) and map their locations as a way to provide a tool for those planning to make investments to meet the needs of the industry.
An interactive map developed by WDI includes both lease areas and ports, and will be updated with additions over time. This project is just launching; we look forward to hearing feedback.
