The first phase of launching the Future Skills Exchange (FSX) is going strong. FSX is a free web-based interactive marketplace that connects New Yorkers who seek courses, certifications, apprenticeships, and credentials directly to the education and training providers who deliver them.

To date, some of the institutions that have posted courses include Albany Can Code, Innovate+Educate, Workforce Development at Clinton Community College, the Office of Workforce Development at Hudson Valley Community College, Westchester Community College, Farmingdale State College Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center, Corning Community College, New Horizons, and Kingsborough Community College.

Our initial outreach is to community colleges, CTE schools, union apprenticeship programs, and private technical training institutions to encourage them to register and load courses into the system. The platform allows training providers to post information about upcoming or currently enrolling classes and provides access to a dashboard of analytics that tracks traffic on your postings and clicks to your institution.

Phase 2 will be outreach to potential students and workers looking to upgrade their skills, as well as employers in need of training or certifications for their workforce.
