The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), New York's defining environmental legislation, is now in its third year. As the State has clarified its vision for the CLCPA, it has become crystal clear that having a ready and skilled workforce is indispensable to achieving the goals of the CLCPA.
To prepare themselves for the unprecedented amount of work to be generated by the CLCPA, many regions around the state have begun digging into questions around jobs, skills, and workforce development. WDI was recently approached by environmental leaders from the Hudson Valley looking for help answering a simple but important question, "Can green jobs be good jobs?" Here is our answer.
