Project Name: Equipment - Equipment for Field Gas Technician Training

Impact to Jobs: Job Placement, Skill Development

Project Focus: Purchase and use of this equipment will provide members with needed skills to acquire multiple certifications and licensing that will result in the development and placement of trained members. The equipment will also be made available for training other individuals (outside of the Plumbers and Steamfitter’s members) in conjunction with the Con-Ed/Westchester Community College Gas Technician Training program. The overall goal is the development of individuals who can fill open gas technician positions – either within a utility or a subcontractor.

Project Focus: Support HHA training program which provides all training classes and books to students free of charge and promises employment for all graduates upon successful completion of the program.  The organization strives to retain 80% of graduating students as employees of its Neighbors Home Care Service program.

Type of Organization: Manufactures nondestructive testing equipment sold to metals manufacturers

Project Type: Training

Project Name: Product Design Training for CE Compliance

Impact to Jobs: Job Growth, Skill Development

Project Focus: Training to support the move of a subsidiary from Sweden back to Elmsford and allow product to continue to be made with CE approval. This move will allow the company to consolidate testing manufacturing and continue to sell product in EU countries. The project is expected to result in the development of current employees and future job growth.
