The project will result in the continued growth of Rockland County tourism and the development of customer service skills for employees at a number of local businesses.

Project Name: nteractive Panels for Classroom

Project Focus:

Help the union upgrade the equipment it uses for training both apprentices and journey workers. The equipment will allow the union to train members on state-of-the-art CAD and tablet technology used in the field. The upgrade will help the union manage the almost 300 new hires it has taken in during the last few years, as well as projected additions to keep up with local construction projects. (Training is targeted to members recruited/in counties within Hudson Valley.)

Project Name: Vacumaster Lift

Project Focus: Assist with the purchase of a mechanical lift for the company’s CNC water jet machine. The lift will be used to place material into the machine, reducing the need for manual labor to handle these jobs. The lift is anticipated to allow the company to operate in a safer and more efficient manner. The project will result in both training of employees on the new equipment and job growth as a result of increased efficiencies.
